Technology Design Studio
One of the benefits of studying in Georgetown's Communication, Culture & Technology program is the Technology Design Studio. This is where I transformed from simply a creative thinker and writer to a creative maker. This is where my ideas were able to take form.
As Manager of the Studio, I was always on hand to help students with projects, maintain the resources there, show curious people how to use the 3D printer, and a myriad of other made-to-order tasks. I sought to be an empowerer, to help people find the way to success by guiding them, not pushing them.
When I came to CCT, there was a question of whether or not the Studio was necessary or serving its imagined purpose. I took this as a challenge to show that it was an extremely valuble aspect of the program, something rare that other programs do not have. From curating projects, to rebranding it to showcase its most impressive products, to collaborating with faculty and staff to ensure it served all classes and students, I helped to solidify the Studio as a valued, productive, and community building part of CCT.
